President opens Kutaisi International Airport

27.09.2012. Kutaisi International Airport has been officially opened today -a Hungarian air company Wizz Air will make first flight Kiev-Kutaisi to Davit Aghmashenebeli International Airport.

Low-budget flight will be made twice a week, but it is expected to grow the number of flights soon.

Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili opened the renovated airport and viewed it together with Prime Minister of Hungary, who pays official visit to Georgia.

The first apssenger of the Kiev-Kutaisi flight was the Minister of Sustainable Development and Economics, Vera Kobalia, who was in Ukraine on an official visit. She talked with foreign tourists on board.

Kutaisi-Kiev flight took the Free Theatre troupe to Kiev on tour.

Rakeen Confirms Suspension of Construction of Poti Airport

28.09.2012. Arab company "Rakeen" confirms the suspension of the construction of Poti airport. A few days ago, "Georgian Dream" majoritarian MP candidate in Poti Eka Beselia in the radio "Commersant" air said the airport construction had been suspended.

The information was confirmed at "Rakeen" Georgian office. However, the responsible person promised to comment on this issue later but the representation doesn’t have the correct information why and for what period construction was suspended. Arab "Rakeen" had to complete the airport construction in 2014. The airport’s foundation has been prepared while the project’s cost makes 45 million USD.

Radisson Park Inn будет построен на Площади роз в Тбилиси

19.09.2012. В центре Тбилиси, на Площади роз, будет построена новая трёхзвездочная гостиница под брендом Radisson Park Inn. Сегодня в грузинской столице подписано соответствующее соглашение. Начало строительства запланировано на 2013 год. Инвестиции составят 20 миллионов долларов, сообщает ТВ "ПИК".

Проект принадлежит грузинской компании Silk Road Group. Оперирование гостиницей будет осуществлять компания Rezidor Hotel Group. Именно представители этих двух компаний подписали протокол о намерениях.

Проект строительства гостиницы является одной из составных частей в рамках реабилитации Площади роз. Мэрия Тбилиси планирует строительство канатной дороги. Она соединит площадь с парком на горе Мтацминда. Работы будет осуществлять австрийская компания Doppel Mayer. Согласно планам, канатка будет построена до конца 2013 года.
